I make these small wooden keychains out of local prairie Caragana wood. Known for its hardiness on the prairies, few people are aware of the beautiful contrasting yellow and brown grain inside it.
The keychain are a little under 2" (50 mm) wide and 1/2" (12mm) thick with. Two pieces of caragana are glued cross-grain for extra strength and finished with a gloss varnish. The 4" chains create about a 1 1/4" circle to hold your keys or attach to your backpack, laptop bag, or cell-phone holder.
